Parent Teacher Association - PTA
Parent Teacher Association - PTA
The Parent Teacher Association is a wonderfully supportive group, which organises a range of social, practical and fund-raising events throughout the year. In recent years, the PTA has provided the school with new laptops and interactive whiteboards, additional music equipment, library books and developing our outside play and garden areas.
All parents are automatic members of the PTA, and all are welcome to play an active part in running the events.
These include children's disco's, film nights, a Christmas Fair, a Quiz night a Pig Chase and Summer Fair and many more events.

We are excited to announce that we have introduced a great new way for our parents and teachers to communicate about fundraising and social events at our school. PTAsocial is a website that strengthens and grows our school community. It allows you to stay up to speed with the latest news, and can be viewed from your smartphone, tablet or home computer. It gives you control over what emails you receive, and protects your privacy. It’s a simple way to get in touch with other parents, and plan stuff together. It's easy for you RSVP to PTA events, or offer to help just a little, and make a big difference together. You can get involved as much or as little as you want. You can watch a short video here if you'd like to know more. (http://www.ptasocial.com/why-join)

Cash 4 Coins
Here at Lea and Garsdon, we’re busy fundraising by collecting old British or foreign coins and notes, even obsolete currency. Please drop your currency off in the office. Once we reach about 5kg, we send it to www.cash4coins.co.uk who exchanges it into cash we can use. The bucket will be here all year so keep it coming please.
If you will be using the internet to shop over the coming months, please think about buying through the Easyfundraising website: www.easyfundraising.org.uk. The school has an Easyfundraising account and using it to make your online purchases is a great way to raise money for the school and you can shop online with loads of well known retailers. When you make a purchase, use the links provided on the Easyfundraising website first http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/leagarsdonceprimaryschool and up to 15% of the price will be donated to school.
We use this site to keep everyone up to date quickly and effectively on all events.
